How much does a private Egypt trip cost?
A private Egypt trip with us starts at $1,590 per person for 5 days from October to April, or $1,380 from May to September. That covers your hotels, a private guide and vehicle for your sightseeing, all entrance fees and help at the airport. International flights, the Egypt visa fee, travel insurance and tips are extra. Below is every starting price on our site, season by season, and what each one includes.

What “from” means. Each figure is the starting price per person for that season, for two travelers sharing a double room in 5-star hotels (and a 5-star Nile cruise on the journeys that include one). Groups of 3 or more pay less per person, and traveling solo costs more. Your final price depends on your dates, hotel choice and group size, and is fixed in writing before you pay.
High season, low season and the holidays
May to September has the lowest prices. October to April, the cool season and the busiest, is 15% higher. The holiday weeks, 20 December to 5 January, are 30% above the May to September price. On the 8-day Classic Egypt, that is $2,450, $2,820 and $3,190 per person.
Two to three months ahead gives the most choice of Nile cruise cabins and hotels, especially for Christmas, New Year and December to January. Our month-by-month guide explains what each season is like to travel in.

How many days do you need?
Most first trips combine Cairo and the pyramids with Luxor and Aswan, linked by a Nile cruise, in about 8 days. Add the Red Sea for a few slow days at the end. Our journeys run 5, 7, 8, 11 or 12 days, and every one is a starting point that we adjust to your dates and pace.

The visa fee and meet & assist
US citizens need a visa for Egypt. You can buy one on arrival at the airport or apply in advance on Egypt’s official e-Visa portal. The visa fee is not included in any of our prices, and because visa fees change from year to year, we don’t print one here. We send current instructions once your dates are confirmed, and can arrange for the on-arrival fee to be paid on your behalf.
Meet & assist, where a member of our team meets you inside the terminal before passport control, is part of every journey. Booked on its own, it is priced on request. Our visa and meet and greet page explains how it works.
How payment works
You pay only after your trip is confirmed in writing, and never on this website. First we send your day-by-day plan and estimated price; nothing is booked until you approve it. Then we confirm every service and the final price in writing, and you choose how to pay: in cash or by card when you arrive in Egypt, or in advance through a secure payment link from WeTravel, our payment provider, emailed to you with your confirmation. You pay on WeTravel’s own page, so your card details never reach us or this site. This applies to multi-day journeys, day tours and transfers, and all prices are in US dollars.
Full details are in our booking terms.
Questions about cost
Are there hidden costs?
No. Every quote is itemized, and your final price is confirmed in writing before you pay. Our journeys include your hotels, a private guide and vehicle, all entrance fees, airport meet and assist on arrival with a private transfer back to the airport on departure, and any domestic flights or cruise nights listed. Not included: international flights, the Egypt visa fee, travel insurance, tipping, and meals or drinks not listed in your itinerary. Before you travel, we tell you in writing what tipping is normal for each part of your trip.
Does it cost anything to get a quote?
No. A quote is free, with no deposit and no obligation. You get your day-by-day plan and estimated price within 24 hours (Sun–Thu), and nothing is booked until you approve it.
Can I book without international flights?
Yes. International flights to and from Egypt are not included in any of our prices, and we do not sell them, so you book your own. We will tell you which arrival times make your first day work and which waste it. Domestic flights inside Egypt are included wherever your itinerary lists them.
How does tipping work?
Small tips are part of daily life in Egypt, so keep small notes. Tipping is not included in our prices, and we tell you in writing what is normal for each part of your trip before you travel.
